Paris, Paris, J’adore Paris

I went to Paris for the first time two years ago and I loved it. Have you ever been? If not, I would recommend sticking it on our travel bucket list. It’s a magical city that you must visit. I travelled to Paris with my boyfriend on the Eurostar  and from time to time they have some amazing cheap options, so check them out. From London st Pancras train station to Paris it only takes two hours tops.

The Parisian culture captivates you by offering traditional french food, boutique clothes shops and not to mention being romanced by the beautiful language. Paris has something to offer everyone and it doesn’t have to be expensive.

The traditional tourist sites are great to see, Eiffel Tower, Arc De Triomphe, Champs ElyseesNotre Dame Cathedral, La Louvre, Moulin Rouge and Montmarte.

If you’d like to see Paris by night I’d highly recommend the Stan & Walter Bus Experience. The highlight of the ride is seeing the Eiffel Tower shimmer with all its pretty lights. Also you have the added feature of there being a bar on board and a DJ. Well worth the experience.

This is the first picture I took of the Eiffel Tower. This structure just takes your breath away, I thought it was amazing. The closer you get to the Eiffel Tower you can clearly see that it is one of the most popular tourist attractions around. If you want to enjoy the vast views from the Eiffel Tower you an travel up to the mid section by stairs or go up in the lift. I would recommend getting to the ticket offie early or booking in advance as the queues are extremely long. Alternatively, you could visit the greens spaces around the Eiffel tower to get a decent picture or selfie.

The best view of the city is to visit Montmarte. At the top is a beautiful Basilica and the views of Paris are expansive. Definitely worth the walk up the hill!

Although the city is an affluent one, sadly, like many, it will always have its poverty. Please be aware of the women who walk around the tourist sites with their clip boards asking tourists to sign a petition, by which time they have your attention and ask for a monetary donation.

Other than the above, I would highly recommend a visit to Paris, it’s a city that i visit frequently and never get bored of it.

Bon Voyage!
